If you live in Biggar, or have been to Biggar Little Festival over the last few years you likely already know of Anne Gair, and how good she is!
For everyone else, Anne is a singer songwriter who mixes genres with nods to indie folk, country, americana, blues and jazz, with strong vocal lines and a penchant for harmony and open tunings. Known for her Joni show, Anne is also an accomplished songwriter with a wonderful ear for melodies. 2025 was her breakout year with The International Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow in January 2025, she released her debut single 'Steal Away' (Jan 25), her second single, 'Cigarettes and Smokescreens' (March 25) followed by 'White horses' (May 25), single '0h Jimmy' (September 25), and 'Blank Spaces' (October 25).
'Blank Spaces' is also included in the Fatea Winter Sessions
With an extensive performance history, Anne has toured throughout the UK and abroad both as a solo artist and lately with her ensemble, The Anne Gair Band. She has played at prestigious venues including The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall (Celtic Connections 2025), The 100 Club, The Cavern Club, The Hard Rock Cafe, The Voodoo Rooms, King Tut's Wah Wah Hut, Belladrum Tartan Heart festival, and regularly performs to sold-out audiences in venues and theatres across the country.
Anne possesses a passion for writing in alternative open tunings and pushing genre boundaries which has drawn comparison to Laura Marling, Joni Mitchell, John Martyn, and Imelda May. as she lets each song breathe and travel where it needs to go.
Anne has a special show lined up for us this April, playing her debut album in full accompanied by her band.
We’re big fans and know you will be too!
